Coastal Foraging

Our fascination for this amazing super food has led to many rock pool forays and lots of delicious (and weird until I got it right) dinners for friends and family. There has been a lot of interest in what one can use and how to cook with it, so we decided to add it to our foraging courses to share the wonders of our local nutrient packed yet vastly underutilized sea vegetables (and mussels…who can resist mussels in a creamy, garlic white wine sauce!) how to harvest sustainably (there are 12 rules in the written notes you receive!) how to prepare a few favourite dishes and of course – of course! A feast at the end.

This half day course starts at low tide on Scarborough beach. When we have finished foraging, we go and prepare the meal together. Its is run by Roushanna and Gael Gray on weekends and can accommodate 12 people. A minimum group of 8 is required.
Please note, you need to get yourself a mussel picking license from the Post Office before you can attend this course.
Group bookings can be arranged on request in the week. Corporate bookings for up to 20 people via special arrangement. To book please contact  This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
